•Elevator Access Control systems allows users to access to designated floors. Elevator access can depend on the user’s classification, the time zone, which elevator is being approached, and the armed state of a floor. In addition, changes to the status of a zone can either cause elevator to grant access to a floor, or cause the elevator to deny access. By using one or more of these attributes, you can create elevator access control policies that are extremely flexible and secure. By using an elevator access control system, you can separate the general public and unauthorized users from the authorized users.

Overview

  • Per elevator car one Elevator Access Controller (EAC) is must. There is no communication between two distinct elevator cars and only one card reader can be interfaced, which will be inside the elevator
  • An EAC supports 12 floors including ground floor and a basement floor. It can be attached to Elevator Access Control Expansion Board (EACEB) using FRC connector which supports additional 10 floors. Each EAC can be attached to maximum 4 EACEB to control a total of 52 floors using 1 EAC and 4 EACEB with the option of floor control relay from the EAC being directly interface with the elevators floor control buttons.
  • The elevator floor buttons are used for programming the user cards in stand alone mode. The programming mode is protected by a master card. On showing it one can add, edit or delete a user card. While adding or editing, one can select floors where the user is allowed.
  • On power failure of EAC elevator car works in normal mode in which anyone can move to any floor.
  • Leveraging on the merits of IP based system; it can easily be hooked up on the existing TCP/IP network. Thus the data can be transferred instantaneously in real time mode to a centralized server.
  • Facility to onsite upgrade the firmware over Ethernet interface so that any customization or new version can be easily upgraded without any need of removing the device.
